Construction at Arroyos Park is advancing steadily, bringing COLTON’s first major amenity center one step closer to reality. Situated at SH 249 and FM 1486 in Todd Mission, TX, the 8-acre park is set to become a central hub for recreation and community life.

As part of COLTON’s initial phase, Arroyos Park contributes to a larger vision that includes 186 acres of 10ft-wide hike and bike trails interconnected with walking trails, preserved green spaces and recreational spaces. With an end of year planned opening, recent milestones highlight meaningful progress across the development.

One of the most significant advancements came during a recent sunrise concrete pour, where foundational work was set for several key structures. Pump trucks, finishers and crews carefully poured and leveled concrete slabs that will support the park’s primary buildings.

Foundations are now set for W. Blakley Hall, The Welcome Inn, The Iron Yard indoor and outdoor gym, the HOA building, and the playground pavilion. These spaces will anchor the park’s activity zones and create opportunities for COLTON residents to connect, relax, and stay active.

W. Blakley Hall will serve as the park’s signature event venue, named after former Texas senator William A. Blakley. His well-known statement, “Texas is neither Southern nor Western. Texas is Texas,” reflects the independent Texas spirit that inspired the park’s design. Once complete, the hall will host many community events, celebrations, and gatherings.

Nearby, The Welcome Inn will function as both a resident lounge and the office for COLTON’s Lifestyle Director, Teryn Walley. Walley will coordinate events, seasonal celebrations, and programming intended to build lasting community traditions and bring neighbors together throughout the year.

Construction is also progressing on The Iron Yard, a versatile indoor and outdoor fitness facility designed to support strength training and open-air workouts. The facility will give residents a convenient place to exercise and support an active lifestyle.

Foundations were also poured for the HOA building and the playground pavilion, advancing key elements that will support daily operations and provide shaded gathering space for families enjoying the park.

When complete, Arroyos Park will bring together recreation, wellness, and gathering spaces in one destination. Planned amenities include playgrounds with a covered pavilion, a splash pad, an event hall, food truck and picnic areas, an indoor/outdoor gym, on-site Lifestyle Director programming and HOA services, a micro disc golf course with a putting green, hike and bike trails interconnected with walking trails, and an event lawn with an amphitheater designed for concerts and community events.

With foundations now set for several of its core buildings, COLTON’s main amenity center has reached an exciting new phase of development and is now going vertical. Each step brings the community closer to a place where residents can gather, stay active, and enjoy everyday life shaped by the natural beauty and character of Texas—a vision that reflects the guiding philosophy behind the entire COLTON community.
