If you were anywhere near COLTON last weekend, you knew something big was happening. Our Grand Opening celebration brought the crowds — and then some. Folks came out in droves to see what this new Texas-sized master-planned community is all about.
Guests toured 14 model homes with exclusive elevations, each one serving up a different taste of Texas-style architecture. From wide-open layouts to front porch charm, there was plenty to explore and daydream about.
Live music played on two stages, keeping the energy high while local artists and tribute bands brought the house down — or would’ve, if we weren’t outdoors under that big Texas sky.
Shoppers wandered through the Made in Texas Market, a pop-up experience that showcased handcrafted goods from some of the best local vendors around — from custom jewelry and boutique finds to backyard BBQ essentials and Texas spices that’ll light up your brisket.
And speaking of BBQ… guests enjoyed true Tastes of Texas with fresh popped Kettle corn, hotdogs, Bluebell ice-cream, and classic Texas sodas with local favorites like: Chick-fil-A, Carmen’s Corn, Brandon’s BBQ, and more.
It was a full day of family-friendly fun, the kind of event you remember. There were balloon artists, face painters, trick ropers, and even a stilt walker who could see clean over the rooftops. A mechanical bull kept the brave ones honest, and the Texas Renaissance Festival Royal Court strolled through to add a touch of old-school royal flair (and hand out a few ticket discounts).
