NAHB’s National Sales and Marketing Council (NSMC) has announced the 2025 Silver Award winners for The Nationals℠, naming COLTON® a Silver Award recipient for Best Use of Technology for its VIP event “A Taste of COLTON.” The Nationals is the National Association of Home Builders’ most prestigious awards competition, honoring excellence in new home sales and marketing across North America.
This year’s competition drew more than 1,000 entries, each evaluated during a four-day judging process by a panel of 16 industry professionals. From those submissions, 325 Silver Award winners were selected across 63 categories. Silver Award honorees are the highest scorers in their respective categories and advance as finalists for the Gold Awards, which will be presented February 17, 2026, in Orlando during the International Builders’ Show.
COLTON’s recognition stems from its immersive VIP event, “A Taste of COLTON,” created to introduce a master-planned community of unprecedented vision and scale. The event was designed to move beyond conventional sales tools and offer an experience that would help Houston’s top home builders and Realtors fully grasp the community’s scope, character, long-term vision, and the distinctive selling points that set COLTON apart from other developments.

To achieve this, COLTON hosted an exclusive unveiling inside a state-of-the-art projection facility, using advanced visual and spatial technology to bring the community concept to life.
Guests were surrounded by three 20-foot-tall, 70-foot-wide projection walls forming a 180-degree cinematic environment. Carefully synchronized visuals and audio immersed attendees in the atmosphere of the community-trees swayed, leaves rustled, the roar of a Friday night football game echoed, and familiar Texas moments filled the space. The experience continued with a virtual reality tour of the amenities, offering a clear sense of scale, layout, and architectural character. The presentation concluded with the Phase 1 site plan projected onto the floor, providing a comprehensive understanding of the development’s layout in a dynamic, interactive format.

Beyond the technology, the event highlighted COLTON’s Texas roots. Guests enjoyed locally inspired food and beverages, curated to reflect the spirit of the region, and received Texas-made takeaways designed to extend the experience beyond the event itself.
