Amenities with Room to Roam

Nestled in the woods, between two seasonal creeks (arroyos in Spanish), Arroyos Park will have fun for every member of the family, with buildings and gathering spaces inspired by historic Texas icons, and plenty of opportunities to play, exercise and socialize.

Ten-foot-wide hike and bike trails will connect all the amazing attractions within Arroyos Park. More trails will weave throughout the entire community, so healthy fun and fresh air are never far from your front door.

Recreation is fresh and reimagined in COLTON, and that includes our creative Splash Pad, which will honor Texas’ vital energy industry. But instead of black gold flowing through these pipes, it’ll be refreshing water.

Kids can climb Lookout Tower and let their imaginations soar, pretending they’re high above the treetops in an East Texas forest watchtower. They can experience the thrill of victory on the Fitcore Ninja Course, leaping over obstacles like true champions. Even the youngest adventurers have a space of their own in the Toddler Play Area, designed just for little Texas explorers. Parents can watch from the comfort of a screened pavilion.

Build muscles and friendships when you pump iron in this 24/7 fitness center, with amazing views to help you conquer those miles and reps. The Iron Yard will also have an outdoor green for group exercise classes like yoga and Zumba.

Our event hall, W. Blakley Hall, pays homage to Texas dance halls found throughout Texas, down to the upcycled hardwood floors that will creak with charm as COLTON residents gather for dances, concerts and more. It’s like a trip back in time, but with modern amenities.

Come and sit a spell at The Welcome Inn, where you can grab a coffee and a seat while taking in the sights and sounds. This will also be the home base for our onsite Lifestyle team, so any event questions or club start-up with happen here.

Enjoy concerts and other performances under the trees and stars at our Amphitheater. You can sit right on the grassy lawn, or bring a blanket or chair. If you get hungry or thirsty, visit the Food Truck Picnic Area!

Make it a day and kick back at Arroyos Park’s picnic spots—plenty of shade, sturdy tables, and room to stretch out and stay awhile.

We can’t say what famous Hill Country BBQ mecca inspired our firepit, but when you gather ‘round with friends and neighbors, you’ll feel transported to a simpler time and place. Located right next to the Welcome Inn, it’s inviting indeed.

Arroyos Park will be home to a mini 9-hole disc golf course and putting green. Meandering through parts of COLTON’s 186-acres of green space will be a Championship Disc Golf Course by the master designer himself, John Houck with Houck Design.

Our Lifestyle Team, a key part of the COLTON Community Council, will have an open-door policy at The Welcome Inn. All year long, they’ll plan special events and activities for residents of all ages, at Arroyos Park and other amenities.
